A few days ago, I wrote about Jarnal, an open source Java-based alternative to OneNote and Windows Journal. Today, I bring you Gournal, a note-taking Tablet program for Linux. This is a Tablet PC only program which makes it an alternative to Windows Journal because it is designed to use with a digital pen.

It doesn’t have handwriting recognition, but it can be used with xstroke, a gesture recognition program.

Gournal is written in Perl so it requires gtk2-perl, gladexml, and gnomecanvas, along with Linux of course.

I do not have Linux on my computer or have access to it, so I will not be able to give a full review. I will talk to AdminID and see if he can review it.
