Comments on: Default OneNote Templates are Lacking

I found your blog via searching for information about OneNote templates. I'm a full time writer and am looking for a better way to store my notes. I was using Evernote, but it's just not doing what I need it to do. OneNote seems to take its organization a step or three further than Evernote.

I have to say that even with Office 2010, the templates are very lacking. I know a lot of people who use this software for various things and so was shocked when I went online searching for templates. One would think that there would be more variety (and more useful variety) available at this point.

Ok…. What about creating a OneNote template based on GTD… There are a lot of people interested on it, some are trying it their own way… just search “GTD Onenote”. I´m sure that an “official” template will boost the sales of OneNote since it will automatically gather that whole target market.

OneNote 2007 isn’t ready for prime time yet. I have had a few problems with it and lost some of the class work. The biggest problem I have so far is OneNote 2003 can’t open the 2007 files yet.

So far, OneNote 2007 is very impressive and I hardly look back at OneNote 2003 anymore.

Now that I think about it. It is like a “binder” for each of my classes. Thanks for extending the analogy.
