SmartOutline 2007 - Very Quick Review

SmartOutline 2007 has a lot of cool features and their website has tons of examples of what you could do with the program.

It was all very intriguing, but the actual navigation in the program is horrible. You have to right-click for everything. There is no icons to add new forms/items and even the keyboard shortcuts are about navigation instead of creating content. It just took too much time for me to create new items that I couldn’t use it efficiently.

    I found SmartOutline's features to be exactly what I needed. In my opinion there is not another outline tool even close. All of the other tools only offer note taking. SmartOutline gave me forms, drawing and database tools never integrated with outliners.

    I suggest you use the right click and get with the winners.

    These guys gave out company a open framework and we build custom add-in for our internal collaboration needs. You can't even get that from Microsoft One-Note.
