OneNote Tip – Shortcuts to Sections

OneNote 2003 has a dropdown navigation menu that I use frequently, but a comment on OneNotePowerToys.com got me thinking about quicker ways to get to a section…

  • Created shortcuts on my desktop for my more frequent .one files.
  • I added some of them to my Quick Launch toolbar as well.
  • Inside Franklin-Covey’s PlanPlus, I add a hyperlink to the .one file rather than use the Notes function. (I lost important meeting minutes in GoBinder 2006 Beta and trust OneNote’s autosave feature a whole lot more.)

This does not jump straight to the page I want, just the section.

OneNote 12 will have onenote:// hyperlinks to pages, but OneNote 2003 only allows file:// links to the .one files.
