Curio 3.0.1 (Mac Only)

I really wish I hadn’t sold my Mac recently, because this looks like a cool program…

Curio 3 by Zengobi and the features that I found interesting…

  • ” Curio is the ultimate project-based brainstorming and document management application”
  • Idea Spaces looks similar to OneNote, but in the StoryBoard screenshot there is a windows pane with a table of the image file details and a rating which peaked my interest.
  • The Dossier screenshot really peaked my interest. Collapsible sections and Form building. I would love that.
  • Project Center for additional organization and categorizing.
  • Other features like Search, autosave, tags, notepaper/stationary, outlines/bullets/numbering, flags/checkboxes/ratings, full screen presentation, export, grouping, and more.
  • Additional features for Restrictions, Shapes, a Library (index of Curio files), ScrapBook, and more.

Overall it looks very interesting and I wish I could give an actual review/comparison. If you have used this program or decide to check it out, please leave a comment on this post to let others know what you think of it.

It might be time for me to re-invest in a Mac. I bought the last one mostly to try DevonThink, which is highly rated and reviewed. I liked it, but was working primarily on a Novell based project at the time and didn’t have the time/effort to use the Mac. I joke that I’m holding out for an Apple/Intel Tablet, but my pockets are nowhere close to that deep, so an eBay search for an older G5 might be the reality.
